Job title: Assistant Building Surveyor

Our client, an international leading property and construction consultancy are seeking an experienced assistant building surveyor to join their busy Central London team. The central London office is their head office where over 100 property and construction professionals are based.

This company are well established and respected within the industry, supplying services across: building surveying, mechanical & electrical engineering, architecture, project management, quantity surveying, civil & structural engineering, sustainability, urban planning & design amongst more.

Their building surveying work is all commercial property, dealing with the following:

  • Design & Specification
  • Contract Administration
  • Feasibility Studies
  • Due Diligence Surveys
  • Dilapidations
  • Party Walls
  • Rights of Light
  • Expert Witness
  • Defect Diagnosis
  • Building Surveys
Assistant Building Surveyor role:

You will be joining the department of 13, amongst 5 other building surveyors (2 are at assistant level). You will be given a variety of workload including professional and project work. Most of the contract administration will be office refurbishments, with the professional responsibilities varying from dilapidations, party wall disputes and survey work.

Assistant Building Surveyor requirements:
  • Building Surveying degree (or relevant property degree & building surveying experience)
  • 18 months minimum consultancy experience (commercial experience would prove beneficial)
  • 12 months APC diary completed
  • Contract administration and specification writing skills
  • Commercially minded, and enthusiastic about the industry
You can expect a salary up to £37,000 for a suitably experienced assistant building surveyor, as well as RICS fees paid for and further benefits to be negotiated at a later date.
