Job title: Assistant Building Surveyor

Are you an assistant building surveyor that could benefit from working along-side an RICS assessor AND an RICS chairman? Are you looking for commercial projects experience?

Our client, a boutique chartered building surveying and project management consultancy are seeking an assistant building surveyor to join their practice. This company operates mainly within the commercial sector with interesting projects nationwide in Birmingham, York, Manchester and Southampton. Your time will be split between their St. Albans office and London office. They provide the following services:

  • Contract administration
  • Project management
  • Defect diagnosis
  • Feasibility studies
  • Party wall & neighbourly matters
  • Project monitoring
  • Dilapidations
  • Building surveys
  • Insurance

Assistant building surveyor role:

You will be joining the team of 8, answering to the director. The role will be varied but project leaning with responsibilities including: design & specification, contract administration, project management, party walls & neighbourly matters and surveys. You will be given support and guidance to complete the APC in a timely manner.

Assistant building surveyor requirements:

  • Building surveying or relevant degree
  • 12 months minimum consultancy experience
  • Experience with writing specifications and contract administration
  • Client facing and ambitious

You can expect a salary up to £36,000 depending on experience, as well other benefits including RICS fees paid for.
