INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER / SENIOR ENGINEER
I am recruiting on behalf of a growing consultancy who have recently moved into a brand new office in the heart of Nottingham. As a result of continued growth plans they are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer or Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
They are looking for a civil engineer with a minimum of three years post graduate experience in preparing flood risk assessments, detailed and indicative strategy drainage designs.
Experience in undertaking detailed highways design and preparing the technical information suitable for gaining S104, S38, S278 and S185 agreements would be advantageous.
Ideally the candidate would be highly motivated to progress their career and willing to work overtime when required.
The candidate should be fully conversant with the following software packages and be able to work with minimal support:
- Microsoft – Excel & Word
Some experience in using the following packages would also be useful:
- Flood Modeller
- Microsoft – Powerpoint
Ideally the candidate would have an understanding of the requirements of local and national policy relating to drainage and flood risk, including the SuDS Manual, Part H and M of the Building Regulations, the NPPF and Sewers for Adoption.
Experience of obtaining services asset plans and obtaining supply and diversion quotes would also be useful.
Ideally the candidate would be working towards becoming a member of the ICE or CIWEM.
The candidate will be reporting to the team leader of the Flood Risk, Drainage and Infrastructure team in Nottingham and will aid a recent graduate with preparing Utility Statements and Flood Risk Assessments including drainage strategies for submission as part of planning applications for developments ranging in size from strategic sites to individual units.
Other tasks may include undertaking detailed highway or drainage design, site visits and prepurchase constraints plans.
Driving licence is preferred but not essential.
