Job Details

Senior Structural Engineer, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.

The candidate should be a Chartered Engineer with experience in all forms of building construction, expected to be autonomous and familiar with current codes of practice. The candidate must demonstrate a level of responsibility taken on projects from detailed design through to supervision of work on site with a knowledge of building control regulations and procedures.

Reporting to a Director, the candidate’s duties will include taking the technical lead on projects, both carrying out and reviewing/checking designs by others, liaising with Clients, design team and contractor and supporting the growth and development of the Team.

The position offers good prospects of advancement in a busy expanding practice. DBFL is accredited to the Engineers Ireland national CPD standard and CPD events and initiatives are features of the position within the office.

Software: main suite is TEKLA, also use Masterseries, Tedds & Revit

Start Date: To suit the candidate.

Team Size: Typically 3 to 4 Engineers and a shared pool of REVIT or CAD technicians.

Project Details: Full range of Commercial, Residential, Mixed use, 3rd Level and Second Level Education, Student Accommodation/Aparthotel, Retail.

Budget Salary/Package: This would be discussed following an established level of interest from both sides, we never give an initial estimate, as the candidate strengths will determine.

Working Hours: typically 9am to 530pm

Interview Process: Face to face interview at the Dublin office.

Parking: Dublin city centre office, with access from all public transport, parking is not available on site. Most staff use public transport. We provide cars for office use by staff to visit site.
