Our client, an international leading property and construction consultancy are seeking an experienced chartered building surveyor to join their busy Central London team. The central London office is their head office where over 1100 property and construction professionals are based.

This company are well established and respected within the industry, supplying services across: building surveying, mechanical & electrical engineering, architecture, project management, quantity surveying, civil & structural engineering, sustainability, urban planning & design amongst more.

The package is generous with a salary plus car allowance, 8% contributory pension, flexible benefits package (childcare voucher, season ticket loan etc), cycle to work scheme, company expenses card and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Their building surveying work is all commercial property, dealing with the following:

  • Contract Administration with refurbishment and redevelopment works
  • Design & Specification
  • Due Diligence Surveys
  • Dilapidations
  • Neighbourly matters
  • Project monitoring
  • Defect Diagnosis
  • Building Surveys

Chartered Building Surveyor role:

You will be joining the London team of 9 other building surveyors where you will be asked to provide support to the more junior members.  The workload will be a balance of contract and professional services with a normal 50% split although and a bias of work to meet your preference. 

Clients you will work with include a prestigious family estate in London, Heathrow and Gatwick airports, retail, commercial offices, ESFA and a new client with a major Central Government facility.

Chartered  Building Surveyor requirements:

  • MRICS 3-5 years qualification is essential
  • Building Surveying degree (or relevant property degree & building surveying experience)
  • 5 years minimum consultancy experience (commercial experience would prove beneficial)
  • Contract administration and specification writing skills
  • Commercially minded, and enthusiastic about the industry

You can expect a salary up to £65,000 for a suitably chartered building surveyor, plus a car allowance.
