Structural Engineer - Design engineer to project engineer level
£36,000 - £42,000 + pension + subs + healthcare
Renowned for working on skyline altering projects in London this mainstream Structural Engineering Consultancy has a requirement for a Structural Design/Project Engineer to join their expanding London studio.
Current workload is a mixture of multi-storey new-build (Mainly RC frame with complex analysis required) and large scale refurbishment projects with project constructiion values ranging from £25million to £100m. The majority of the projects are complex and based in London so site experience is gained on a weekly basis. They are a company who allow their engineers to develop through project exposure and responsibility so you can be assured of rapid professional development upon joining.
As a busines BIM is increasingly at the centre of how they operate, currently 90% of projects operate at BIM level 2 and Revit is used on 100% of projects.
The role requires you to work alongside an associate on a number of projects as her project engineer. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the project including attending site, client and architect meetings. You will also be managing the graduates and technicians assigned to your projects in order to ensure the design process is effective and successful.
To be considered for this opportunity will need to be a Graduate member of IStructE or ICE, be educated to MEng/MSc-level (2:1 min) and should have gained good design and project-running skills in refurbishment and new-build projects within the UK market. You will have good communication skills and be happy to be supported to chartership (MICE or MIStructE) over the next 3 years.
