Job Details

Our client is a company that produces architectural metalwork products for the interior design/ architecture/ industries. They are looking for a candidate that wants a multifaceted role in a fun fast paced environment. As it is a small company you will need to be able to turn your hand at most jobs, but the main duties are listed below. The main attributes you need are to be organised and also able to deal with clients/ sub contractors/ customers by phone/ email/ letter etc. 


  • Answering calls – dealing with customers/ clients/ suppliers etc
  • Checking on status of orders
  • Keeping TeamGantt (project overview software) up to date, all live orders entered/completed orders removed
  • Producing daily/weekly TeamGantt Reports (what orders due out now?)
  • Answering emails (order statues, quote requests, general clietn requirements)
  • Quoting standard products using our online calculators
  • Quoting non-standard products
  • Chasing up quotes 
  • Taking card payments
  • Getting prices from Subcontractors and maintaing Subcontractor price lists
  • Submitting POs to Subcontractors (Standard Products, Frames and ad-hoc pieces)
  • Chasing Subcontractors (using TeamGantt)
  • Shipping Client orders (nationally and internationally)
  • Dealing with shipping/courier issues (damaged goods)
  • Sourcing new subcontractors
  • Overseeing the admin assistant (who sends parcels, deals with samples, does basic quoting and bookkeeping)
  • Responding to Management RFIs

 SKILLS:

  • Work quickly yet efficiently
  • Deal with issues as they arise
  • Multitask is a must
  • Experience of exporting goods (and re-importing)
  • Understanding of VAT (national, EU and International) and basic bookkeeping a real bonus
  • Basic calculations; ability to convert e.g. square mm to square feet
