Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer
RGB Network are working with one of the world’s leading multi-disciplinary consultancy firms who are currently seeking an enthusiastic Senior Infrastructure Engineer with a bias to below ground drainage and private road design to join their development team based in Hertfordshire. The team specialise in flood risk assessments, schematic designs, masterplan designs, drawings and specifications for infrastructure projects associated with public and privately funded developments both in the UK and overseas.
Your role as an Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the production and management of technical designs, and report writing. You will be required to provide input to resourcing schedules, financial planning and fee proposals associated with your project or part of the project you are responsible for. The role will also involve liaison with clients, local authorities and representatives from external organisations. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer you will also be responsible for the technical design, production and review of the projects. You will also be required to assist with the production of proposals for new commissions, and undertake project management and financial control of a project or part of a project you are responsible for.
You will have good and professional communication skills both oral and written.
The ability to use computer modelling and design software associated with below ground drainage designs, road design, earthworks and specification writing. The following design software is widely used within Development Infrastructure so an interest and/or experience in one or more is desirable:-
- Civil 3D
- NBS Buildings
- NBS Create
- Microsoft XL
You must be experienced in the production of detailed design information, technical reports, drawings, tender documents & specifications, integration with BIM for public and private developments, and familiar with Design Standards such as Sewers for Adoption, Building Regulations, National Planning Policy Framework, Code for Sustainable Homes, BREEAM and LEED, the Specifications for Highways works and other relevant British Infrastructure regulations.
You must be experienced in drainage infrastructure to adoptable standards including the negotiation of Section 104 and 106. Having experience in international projects will be a benefit.
Chartered or Incorporated status with a relevant professional body.
