There’s currently an opportunity for a Receptionist & Sales Administrator to join a small, family run Metal Fabrication business in Acton, South West London. The position will be over 12 months to cover a Maternity leave but will potentially lead to a permanent position within the company. The business specialises in Architectural Metalwork, manufacturing a range of standard and bespoke decorative grilles and decorative metal products for interior designers, architects and private clients. Within the role you will be the first point of contact via telephone and face to face for their clients and visitors and you’ll also be providing administrative support to the office and the workshop. 


Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Handling all incoming calls, including occasional “challenging” clients + subcontractors 
  • Forwarding to the correct team member or taking concise messages if they are busy 
  • Dealing with basic queries and questions about our products and services 
  • Opening post, processing and distributing 
  • Updating clients as/when there are issues with their order 
  • Entering and initiating new website and email orders at the start of the production process  

You’ll ideally have the following skills:
  • Great telephone manner
  • Organisational skills
  • Ability to juggle tasks and follow procedures, start to finish
  • Strong Microsoft skills, office 365
  • Thoroughness and accuracy
  • Dealing with clients, friendly and pushy
  • Working in a manufacturing background

The salary for the year will be from £25,000 - £30,000 and working hours are; Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Friday:  8:00am – 4:30pm. You’ll be entitled to statutory holiday leave which includes a two week shutdown over Christmas and New Year.
