A small building consultancy are presently searching for a part time commercial secretary / administrator to join their office near Bond Street. The role will be a dual role, providing both administrative support to the team in the London office and the wider business plus perform secretarial duties. You will work closely with the team, and you will play an important role in the delivery of professional services.

As part time position, your hours will be Tuesday-Thursday 9:00am-5:00pm.

Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide the surveyors with high standard and accurate secretarial support carrying out audio typing of letters, survey reports, specifications, minutes when required and some copy typing when required also             
  • An understanding of Bookkeeping with invoicing experience, credit control experience and being conversant with Xero accounting software
  • General office admin duties; filing, scanning, binding & copying, creation of large reports where a high volume of photographs may need to be inserted
  • Answering calls & taking messages, welcoming visitors, photocopying & binding reports and documents
  • Supporting the surveying team with accounts admin like new job registration, purchase orders and invoicing
 

Ideal Performance Criteria:
  • C50 WPM accurate copy and audio typing
  • High standard of written English
  • Good proof reading ability
  • Optimum document formatting skills
  • Professional & polite telephone manner
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe PDF
 

Skill Criteria + Behaviour:
  • Excellent administration, organisational and communication skills
  • Understanding of Law/Property terminology is advantageous
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and have a proactive approach
  • Technologically Literal
  • Ability to use own initiative
