Graduate Mechanical Engineer
£25k - £30k
London (3 days in the office, 2 days from home is company policy)
A building services design consultancy are going through a large growth face at their London office and have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and talented Graduate Mechanical Engineer.
They are looking for a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer who shares the common goal of contributing to the energy challenge that will positively impact climate change.
This is an opportunity to work on a wide variety of design projects including new buildings and existing buildings across Residential, Commercial and Healthcare sectors.
As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will be an important part of the team that delivers mechanical design. Your work will be varied and challenging; there will be a focus on mechanical and hydraulic design of heat networks, heat pump applications and other decentralised energy systems, but also lots of opportunity to work on more traditional building services projects, including HVAC.
You will learn and gain experience in:
- Feasibility
- Modelling
- Design
- Drawing/Coordination
- Technical Specification Writing
You will be mentored and will develop a range of skills necessary to be successful in consultancy such as commercial acumen, project management and effective communication.
Alongside the opportunity to gain varied experience and learn from industry leading professionals, you will also be provided with regular CPDs and supported in working towards Chartership should that be an ambition. Requirements:
- Have a degree in Mechanical Engineer or ideally Building Services Engineering
- You must have modules focuses on the built environment and/or sustainability
- You must be an ambitious individual who values their progression, is keen to develop and have qualities that show potential to be a future manager
- Have a genuine interest in a career in building services design
- Have experience using AutoCAD
- Be intuitive, engaging, a thirst for knowledge and have excellent communication skills
