Mechanical Design Engineer (Intermediate or Engineer level)
£35k - £45k (depending on level, experience and expectations)
London (3 days in the office, 2 days from home – also flexible on that)

A building services consultancy are going through a large growth face at their London office and have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and talented Mechanical Design Engineer.

They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who shares the common goal of contributing to the energy challenge that will positively impact climate change.

This is an opportunity to work on a wide variety of design projects including new buildings and existing buildings across Residential, Commercial and Healthcare sectors.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, your work will be varied and challenging; this will include:

  • Feasibility
  • Modelling
  • Design
  • Drawing/Coordination
  • Technical Specification Writing
  • Techno Economic Modelling
You will be mentored and will develop a range of skills necessary to be successful in consultancy such as commercial acumen, project management and effective communication.

Alongside the opportunity to gain varied experience and learn from industry leading professionals, you will also be provided with regular CPDs and supported in working towards Chartership should that be an ambition. Requirements:
  • You must be an ambitious individual who values their progression, is keen to take on added responsibility and have qualities that show potential to be a future manager
  • Have building services design consultancy or contractor experience, ideally working on at least Residential projects but Commercial and Healthcare would be excellent too
  • Have experience using AutoCAD (Revit is desirable, but can be trained)
  • Have some site experience (preferable)
  • Have excellent communication skills, be engaging and have a thirst for knowledge
