Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer
Central London
£35k - £45k

An established, forward-thinking and innovative building services engineering consultancy are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Electrical Engineer to join their growing London office of MEP and Sustainability professionals.

Electrical Design Engineer responsibilities:

  • Working on a variety of projects throughout the whole lifecycle with the support and guidance of Senior/Principal Engineers
  • Designing the Electrical LV distribution; small power; lighting; IRS & telecoms; fire alarm/AOV smoke control; access control; lightning protection system; secondary supply arrangements and data systems for Commercial, High-End Residential and Educational sectors from RIBA stage 1 to 5
  • Overseeing the site installation of your design, ensuring compliance and assisting with technical support to ensure installation, testing and commissioning was aligned with the specifications, regulations and client’s requirements
  • Attending client facing meetings to ensure the design and requirements are fully understood and met
  • Programme management, ensuring all design work was complete, updated and/or commented on within given timeframes
  • Writing of specifications and schedules
You need to have:
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a building services Electrical Design Engineer
  • Good communication skills at all levels, it is important that you can develop into a client facing role
  • A good understanding of project co-ordination, and ability to organise your own workload
  • Familiarity with software packages including Amtech, Dialux, Relux and Revit; training will be provided on any you haven’t had exposure too
  • Self-motivation, ability to work on own initiative and a hunger to learn from those around you
  • You will need to be ambitious and actively want to progress your career
  • An interest in sustainability and working on Net Zero projects
Package includes:
  • £35k - £45k depending on experience (reviewed annually)
