Job Working Hours:              8am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
Salary Range:                       £25,000 – £30,000 depending on experience
Business Mileage                  @ 45p per mile for the first 10,000 and 25p then-after.
Holidays:                               20 Days + 8 Bank Holidays
Pension:                                Workplace pension scheme


 
THE ROLE - Office Manager


Are you highly organised, fast-thinking, and proactive, with effective communication skills and a good eye for detail? Are you computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We’re an established family-owned company based in Essex, providing mechanical and electrical engineering services to education facilities, medical institutions, transport operations and restaurants. With a strong business plan in place, we’re looking to appoint an Office Manager on a full-time permanent basis to join our friendly team.


Key responsibilities

This is an administrative role, with responsibility for the day-to-day office management and business support processes.

Duties include:

  • Supplier enquiries, quotes, orders, and invoice reconciliation.
  • Maintaining accurate customer filing systems, ompany records and information.
  • Work alongside colleagues and consultants to keep all required accreditations relevant and up to date.
  • Handling phone calls and customer relations.
  • Assisting the senior management team as needed.
  • Keeping contractual documents up to date.
  • Creating, editing, and updating documents, spreadsheets, and presentation slides – MS Office.
  • Managing diaries and keeping the office running smoothly.

We install and maintain mechanical and electrical engineering services to the education, transport, and retail sectors, within Greater London and the Southeast. We’re a close-knit, friendly team, able to adapt to changing work needs and flexible in our approach.


THE PERSON
  • Highly organised, enthusiastic, and able to multitask.
  • Effective communication skills and excellent telephone manner.
  • IT and computer literate, including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Able to manage business correspondence and handle confidential information.
  • Experience of accounting software such as Sage or Xero would be advantageous.
 
EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in an office setting preferably in an administrative role.
  • A willingness to grow and learn on the job.
