My client, a forward-thinking engineering practice founded in 2016, prioritizes innovative, efficient designs. Based in Nottingham, they offer comprehensive structural and civil engineering services, including environmental aspects like site investigations, flood risk assessments, and transportation reporting, serving clients across the UK.

Person specifications:

They are looking for a structural engineer in the UK with 3-4 years of experience, who can support senior Engineers and Associates in project execution. The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills, be proactive, and demonstrate strong communication abilities. Preferably, they would have prior experience in project management and be ready to provide immediate assistance on projects, under the supervision of a Senior Engineer, Associate, or Director.

  • Degree in Structural engineering
  • 3 to 4 years of experience working as a Structural Engineer in the UK
  • Driving license preferable
  • AutoCAD literate (Revit experience beneficial but not essential)
  • Ability to use modern 3D structural analysis and design software
  • Some experience of structural inspections
  • Proficient in structural design of buildings using common construction materials

Job responsibilities:
  • Supporting Senior Engineers and Associates in project delivery.
  • Collaborating with Technicians to create project documentation.
  • Generating calculation packages, both manually and utilizing design software tools like TEDDS, QSE, and Tekla Structural Designer.
  • Creating technical drawings, both manually and using CAD software.
  • Drafting specifications.
  • Participating in site visits and design meetings alongside senior engineers and directors.
  • Engaging in office design conversations to contribute to the team's collective knowledge and assist fellow members.
Salary and benefits:
