Associate Director - Building Structures Projects

An Associate Director Level Chartered Structural Engineer is sought to join this award winning (RIBA) medium sized multi-disciplinary practice located in Central Manchester.

This is an exciting opportunity to become a key player within a financially sound and well-established business. The role involves the design and management of a range of projects from concept through to completion alongside assisting with the running of the practice.

You will have an excellent understanding of structural design, deploying a range of materials, including reinforced concrete to structural steelwork, masonry, and timber. You will be a pro-active, dynamic Chartered Structural Engineer who is comfortable making decisions, keen to join a highly motivated, ambitious, and professional team where you will have scope to progress beyond the role of Associate Director.

You will have experience of working closely with architects on a variety of building structures  projects, both new build and refurbishment across many sectors in the UK. You will be comfortable leading projects, both refurbishment works as well as new buildings. You will most likely gained this project experience within a small or medium sized consultancy and will be keen to step up to a role with responsibility and scope to deliver for both yourself and your clients.

You will be comfortable mentoring junior engineers with their designing, good developing rapport with clients and architects, comfortable at writing reports with experience of recruiting technical teams of engineers and technicians.
