CAD Technician (AutoCAD/Tekla)

Salary: Up to £35,000 (AutoCAD), Higher for Tekla Experience (up to £45,000)

Our client, a renowned leader with over 20 years of expertise in engineering, specializing in temporary works, refurbishment, and foundations within the building and civil engineering sector, is seeking dynamic CAD Technicians to join their team in Glasgow.

 
Key Responsibilities:

1. Utilize AutoCAD for the preparation of detailed drawings and plans related to temporary works, refurbishment, and foundations projects.

2. Proficiently operate Tekla software for enhanced structural detailing and modelling (additional compensation for Tekla experience).

3. Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret project requirements and translate them into accurate technical drawings.

4. Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and client specifications in the production of CAD drawings.

5. Work closely with project managers and site teams to address design modifications and optimize project efficiency.

6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of CAD processes and standards within the organization.

 
Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CAD Technician, with a focus on AutoCAD. Tekla experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with temporary works, refurbishment, and foundations in the building and civil engineering sector.
  • Understanding of geotechnical design services is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality drawings.
