This company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead the company's new in-house design team, whilst supporting and working alongside external design consultancies.

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in leading and managing structural engineering projects from conception to completion.

Title: Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Norfolk

Responsibilities:

1. Project Leadership: Lead and manage structural engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards.
2. Design and Analysis: Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial structures. Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams.
3. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, other engineers, and project stakeholders to develop efficient and effective structural solutions. Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
4. Code Compliance: Ensure that all structural designs and solutions comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
5. Quality Control: Conduct thorough reviews of project documentation, calculations, and drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
6. Client Interaction: Interact with clients to understand their project requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure client satisfaction. Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
7. Mentorship: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and contribute to their professional development.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor's or Masters degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
2. 5+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on steel high-rise commercial, industrial and agricultural design (i.e. steel frames, steel connections, etc.)
3. Chartered Engineer Status is preferred, but not essential
4. Proficient in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro), Tekla and AutoCAD.
5. Strong knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations (i.e. Eurocodes, British Standards)
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7.Proven ability to lead and manage projects.
