Are you an experienced electrical engineer seeking an exciting career advancement opportunity? We're working closely with a leading MEP engineering consultancy that specializes in Passivhaus projects and is dedicated to achieving net-zero carbon. With offices nationwide, our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their esteemed team in Manchester.

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you'll be an integral part of a dynamic MEP engineering group, contributing to the design and delivery of electrical systems across various projects. This role offers a chance to lead complex electrical design efforts, manage junior resources, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders. Reporting to Principal Engineers or Directors, you'll play a key role in project management and mentorship within the practice.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading electrical design efforts on diverse projects, ensuring seamless integration with architectural and structural elements.
  • Managing junior resources and collaborating effectively with internal and external teams.
  • Providing guidance and support to junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Demonstrating strong communication skills in client interactions and project management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical design within a UK-based MEP consultancy.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Amtech, with a strong technical background.
  • Chartered status or readiness to pursue chartered accreditation.
  • Excellent people management skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
