Then look no further as my well-respected and well-established client is looking out for an ambitious Graduate Civil Engineer, with relevant experience of 1-2 years' within the drainage, highways and infrastructure sectors. 

The successful candidate will get the chance to work on a diverse range of drainage, foundations, highways and infrastructure projects within the large residential development, commercial and education sectors, to name a few of many.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-quality drawings for a wide variety of civil engineering projects (residential, commercial, industrial).
  • Regularly liaise with clients, contractors, architects, and design team members.
  • Complete designs for drainage, highways, foundations, groundworks and some simple structures.
  • Attend site meetings for surveys, design team collaboration, and project updates.
  • Produce drawing and model packages within defined project timelines.
  • Develop proposals for residential, commercial, industrial, road, and drainage projects.

  • Knowledge of Tekla/TEDDS, AutoCAD and Causeway PDS Flow would be advantageous.
Successful candidate specifications:
  • 1+ years' UK post qualification experience in a similar role
  • Relevant Civil or Structural Engineering qualification (BEng/MEng/MSc/etc.)
  • A full UK driving licence would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Desired but not necessary to have a good working knowledge of; Tekla/TEDDS, AutoCAD and Causeway PDS Flow
  • An interest and desire to learn & apply themselves to technical drainage & highway design problems
  • Liaise with the Project Engineer and wider design team on issues requiring clarification or external input
