My client is looking for a skilled Senior Structural Engineer to our team. This position is ideal for someone with over 5 years of experience in a consultancy setting, and a history of successfully managing Structural Engineering projects across various sectors, both public and private.
Role Overview:
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will report to the Principal Engineer. You will be accountable for ensuring the technical and commercial success of project work, which includes managing personnel and resources. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to foster relationships with clients and colleagues are crucial.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performing detailed analysis and design calculations
- Assisting with resource planning to ensure timely project completion and budget management
- Guiding and reviewing the work of other engineers and technicians
- Implementing effective business management systems
- Assisting in the preparation and review of project proposals and bids
- Ensuring technical compliance with all regulatory standards and company quality management procedures
- Supporting the training and performance assessment of technical staff
- Enhancing and growing the company’s reputation in the industry
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Near Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, Membership in IStructE or another relevant professional body
- More than 5 years of experience in a consultancy environment
- Strong knowledge of UK structural engineering design standards and Eurocodes
- Proven ability in engineering design and reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
