Chartered Structural Engineer - MIStructE or MICE - Director designate
£49,000 - £59,000 + Benefits (Package is significantly increased for an applicant with existing director level experience)
With a rapidly expanding workload and an intending to retire principal this regional consultancy are seeking to employ a chartered structural engineer to form part of their succession plan for the business.
The role will initially be to lead the broad range of projects they are renowned for (Commercial, health, domestic, light industrial, education, care homes, residential and agricultural) acting as the liaison point for the clients and architects whilst ensuring the team produce the necessary quality of design and drawings to deliver effective engineering solutions.
You will be working in conjunction with another chartered engineer who is working in a similar role within the practice and is also part of the succession plan going forward.
Over the course of the next 2 years this role will be actively developed into a director role with ensuing control of the company. If you are already operating at, or have experience of, working as a director in a comparable organisation then this timescale will be significantly reduced.
To be considered for this role you have to be a chartered engineer with extensive building structures experience across both new build and refurbishment projects. You will be capable of leading projects from concept through to completion of a broad range of building types and will have the drive and ambition to challenge yourself to forge a career at the upper levels of a consulting engineering firm. If you are an existing / comparable director then you will be able to demonstrate this at interview stage and an enhanced package is available.
