This regional construction company with a family ethos is seeking a Junior / Assistant Buyer to join their practice on a permanent basis ASAP. They work on a range of construction projects across the South East and are able to offer you a relaxed, family friendly work environment where work-life balance is paramount to all members of the team.
Reporting into the Senior Buyer you will have responsibility of the purchasing policy inline with the business objectives allowing them to operate in a profitable manner. Alongside interacting with the third party supply chain and maintaining the audit processes you will lead the negotiations and close the deals across the business.
As well as assisting in forming the strategy you will also have a responsibility for working witrh the production and bid teams to generate effective work flows.
To be considered for this role you will need to have experience of buying within the construction field with experience of working with procurement systems in the industry. Ideally you will also have a good understanding of monitoring suppliers against agreed performance indicators.
This role will suit a buyer with some experience who is seeking a new challenge.
