Associate Civil Engineer

Our client is an award winning multi-disciplined engineering consultancy offering service across the construction industry and all across the UK. An opportunity has arisen in their Derby office for an Associate Civil Engineer.

The team works on schemes throughout the East Midlands and United Kingdom, undertaking civil engineering design services across a broad range of sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, leisure, education, retail and heritage for both private and public sector clients. The team undertakes pre-planning engineering reports/studies, designs adoptable highway and drainage works involving SuDS drainage features and private civil engineering works.

The successful candidate will be a Chartered Civil Engineer who has a minimum of 10 years’ experience within the industry as well as a track record of successful team leadership and exemplary technical knowledge should be demonstrated. You will also be technically fluent in the use of Microdrainage and PDS design software. Proven experience with this software will be demonstrated at interview. Experience in the use of Civils 3D would also be advantageous.


In the role you will undertake communication with other teams to assist in maintaining financial consistency across the company. You will have financial oversight and control of schemes within the civils team and full control of your personal schemes. You will coordinate financial forecasts in the civils team, prepare invoices and monitor the financial success of the team.
