Our client is the largest precast manufacturer in the UK and is currently recruiting for a Design Co-Ordinator to co-ordinate the design between the clients design team and engineers to ensure all drawings are precise and available in a timely manner to facilitate production and installation.
The successful candidate will be tasked with:
PRE-TENDER:
- Reviewing project details to assess internal and external design resource requirements
- Advising estimators on programme and design requirements
- Attendance of pre-tender meetings when required
- To manage the design for projects up to £10 million pounds
- Single point of contact within the organisation for the clients design team
- Prepare, monitor and control design programmes to ensure manufacture can meet the
- contract installation programme
- Attend design team meetings with the client to ensure that all the required details are
- incorporated into our design
- Notification of any variations to the inhouse QS
- Checking external designers drawings to check fit into the building and to ensure all details
- are shown on the drawings to facilitate manufacture
- Regular updates with factory and site installation teams
