Electrical Design Engineer
Essex
£35k - £50k (depending on experience)
An award winning multi-disciplinary consultancy are looking to add an Electrical Engineer to their Essex office due to planned growth and in response to acquiring an increasing number of projects.
This is an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer who is keen to work for a business where they can progress in their career whilst developing their skills set on a variety of exciting and innovative projects across different sectors including Commercial, Residential and Education.
You will be based in their Essex office but with the opportunity of flexible working. You will play a key role in their energy, sustainability and decarbonisation work which is becoming an really important part of their services.
Due to continued and growing success, they are looking to expand the M&E team at all levels so the required experience of an Electrical Engineer is flexible. You must, however, have at least 2 years’ experience within a Building Services capacity.
In this Electrical Engineer role you will have responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:
- Undertake technical and condition surveys
- Develop detailed technical designs; utilising and improving your skills on AutoCAD / Revit, and supervising and supporting CAD Technicians
- Produce performance specifications for the electrical elements of the engineering projects
- Work closely with clients and other professionals on construction plans
- Check and validate contractor’s design proposals, carry out site inspections and attend project meetings
- Manage handover process, witnessing and commissioning
