Transport Planner / Senior Transport Planner / Principal Transport Planner (£32,000 to £48,000 + benefits depending on experience)

An independent transport consultancy offering planning & design advice to property developers and their professional teams of architects, town planners and engineers. We have exciting opportunities for a AN experienced/Senior Transport Planner who can demonstrate their development planning experience and an understanding of the transport challenges facing our major towns and cities.

You will have 3-6 years’ professional experience, be dynamic, motivated and enjoy working in a small, collaborative team.

Candidate Specification:
• A relevant degree (e.g. Geography, Civil Engineering, Urban Design)
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills
• Experience of the transport related documents that accompany planning applications
• Proficient in some or all of LINSIG, ARCADY, PICADY & GIS.
• You are proactive, enthusiastic and care about the detail.

Job Specification:
You will be working to produce transport assessments and associated analysis with some or all of the following experience:

• Production of detailed transport assessments, technical notes, Travel Plans, Delivery and Servicing Plans and Construction Logistics Plans.
• An understanding of and experience of producing healthy streets Transport Assessments and Active Travel Zone Assessments.
• General knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges.
• The analysis of development effects on road and junction capacity.
• Management of small and medium scale projects.
• Development of access strategies for all modes.
The Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Attending technical meetings with clients, design teams and public authorities.
• Working closely with senior members of staff in the winning & delivery of work.
• Support and work with junior members of staff on the preparation of figures for reports, swept path assessment, analysis of data, and drawings of transport improvements including junction designs.
• An interest in developing client contacts and learning business development skills.
• Required to liaise with other professionals including architects and town planners as well as client and local authorities, and hence must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Resolve problems or issues to support the delivery of projects or design objectives.

- Become involved in a wide variety of exciting development projects and play a crucial role as a valued member of a busy commercially-focused team with an expanding workload.
- Earn a competitive salary in the range of £32,000 to £48,000 per annum subject to experience, employer pension contribution of 6% & other benefits.

These are full-time roles based out of our London office.
