Transport Planner


The company:

An independent transport planning consultancy based in central London offering client-focused pragmatic advice on all transport aspects of development. Focusing heavily on the private sector, the team is actively involved in a wide range of projects; ranging from 1 dwelling up to 1000+ dwellings in the private development sector. They offer planning services for Luxury apartments, high end developments, Schools, and Commercial offices in Central London. They have worked with the likes of Waitrose, Mayfair associates, 02 Arena Lemington Spa & many alike. They have worked across the UK and overseas including projects in Qatar, Bermuda, USA, Italy, Hungary, Egypt and Sri Lanka.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for an individual who has a desire to progress a career in Transport Planning and who has preferably a degree in civil engineering or geography.

Location: London

Skills & Qualities:

Transport planning with minimum 1-3 years’ experience
Demonstrable experience of planning & design within development
Be able to prepare a transport assessment / travel plan with input from senior staff
Have experience in the use of trip generate programs, and junction capacity analysis programs such as PICADY, ARCADY, LINSIG etcExperience using AutoCAD to prepare and review highway proposals, and also undertake vehicle swept path tracking.

Comprehensive knowledge of the transport & traffic sector.
Excellent interpersonal skills

Be able to communicate effectively with clients and other co-professionals
Parking layouts
Traffic modelling and schematic design

Accepted Qualifications:

Degree in relevant subject (or equivalent) - Geography / Civil Engineering / Transport planning
Salary offering: £29K - 34K (Negotiable)
