My client, an engineering consltancy, are looking to appoint a Fire Engineer to join the existing team based at their offices in Kent. Their friendly and professional team offer (in addition to Fire Engineering consultancy) fire strategy consultancy, fire systems designs, building services designs, project management and cost control so the appointed candidate would have the opportunity to learn new skills within the sector.
With a good proportion of their work being overseas , the company will also be able to offer the opportunity to work with foreign codes and standards, plus also engage with a wide range of repeat and new customers. Although established over 25 years ago the company is undergoing a period of change and growth which will provide exciting opportunities for the right new team member.
The applicant should possess a degree in Fire Engineering with ideally at least one
to two years’ experience and be competent in report writing, formation of Fire Engineering
Strategies, technical reviews and hold a good understanding of materials sciences. Experience of
CFD smoke modelling to a good level would be preferable, or a basic knowledge and a willingness to
be trained will suffice. The company will consider strong graduates with a fire engineering degree. The company are very happy to provide support for candidates wish to become a chartered fire engineer.
