Job Details

Our client is a busy construction company based in South Croydon (please do not apply unless you live within a 30 minute commute). It is a smallish office team so you will need to be able to turn your hand at most jobs, but the main duties are listed below.
The main attributes you need are to be organised and also able to deal with clients/ sub contractors/ customers by phone/ email/ letter etc. You need to have a strong background in administration in an office environment working in a similar building type company. Any experience working for a construction / building/ contracting/ building consultancy type practice would be highly desirable 

They are looking for assistant office manager / project administrator to report to the company directors who can run the office from a support and administration point of view. You will work alongside another senior administrator as well 




Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of administration and support for the company
  • Co-ordinating data inputting information onto spreadsheets and CRM system
  • creating new work files on computer for new jobs
  • keeping up to date with company insurance documents
  • managing company accreditations
  • liaising with surveyors and engineers on site via the phone
  • managing paperwork and some invoicing
  • filing and e-filing information
  • answering calls from clients in a professional manner
  • Getting prices from Subcontractors/ suppliers and maintaining price lists
  • Responding to Management RFIs
 SKILLS:
  • You MUST have good experience with EXCELL and spreadsheets
  • Any experience of CRM software is a major bonus (especially BORIS)
  • Good Microsoft office skills
  • Good written and spoken english
  • able to work quickly yet efficiently
  • able to deal with issues as they arise
  • Multitasking is a must
