My client are on the lookout for a seasoned Mechanical Estimator to spearhead our estimating department, offering a unique opportunity to manage the entire tender process, from initial retrieval to final quotation submission to our clients.
Our projects span a wide range, with mechanical packages valued between £50K and £3M, encompassing air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing, insulation, leak detection, controls, commissioning, and validations, primarily focusing on Cat A and Cat B commercial projects.
Our diverse client portfolio covers various sectors, including commercial offices, healthcare, education, leisure, and government buildings.
THE ROLE – MECHANICAL ESTIMATOR
Monday – Friday
8am – 4pm / 9am - 5pm
Your first task will be to set up their Trimble Software.
The role is dynamic and includes, but is not limited to:
- Reviewing tender documents
- Issuing RFIs
- Cost research
- Obtaining quotes from suppliers and contractors
- Performing take-offs according to standard estimating practices
- Utilizing estimating software like Trimble
- Preparing tenders for internal review
- Ensuring timely submissions
- Facilitating project handovers to our operational and project teams.
- Proven experience in a similar role with an M&E contractor.
- The ability to accurately estimate costs and timelines, meeting crucial deadlines.
- Expertise in estimating software, particularly Trimble MEP.
SALARY & PACKAGE
£60,000 (review after 3 months)
Travel Expenses covered if needed to go to site in London
