My client are a well-established mechanical/electrical Building services contractor with 30 years’ experience in the industry, operating largely in London and the Home Counties but also covering works across the UK.

Due to significant growth, there is now a key requirement for a Mechanical Project Manager to join our team, overseeing a variety of projects throughout the UK.
 
About the Role

Monday - Friday – 8am – 5pm

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a variety of M & E Projects ranging from £10,000 - £500,000
  • Programming
  • Allocating and resourcing materials and labour.
  • Design development.
  • Subcontract and material procurement and management.
  • Overall Project delivery from tendering/pricing & design development through to completion.
  • Management and reporting of KPI’s including financial, supply chain management and outsourcing.
  • Working with and developing relationships with Clients, M & E Consultants, to ensure repeat business.
  • Attending site visits, progress meetings, health and safety meetings, and in-house management meetings as required/program dictates.
  • Monitor and review tender documentation,
  • Ensuring contracts are completed within a timescale and budget.
  • Working with our H&S/Compliance manager to ensure works are carried out safely and that reasonable and practical measures are taken to maintain the safety of all involved.
  • Financial management of contracts, variations etc.
  • Maintaining company standards in terms of quality.
 
About the Candidate

  • Previous experience working in the mechanical Building Services Industry (minimum of 7 Years)
  • A good knowledge of Chilled water systems, District heating systems, Gas installation & energy saving schemes would be an advantage.
  • Ability to handle/manage multiple projects simultaneously. (Number of contracts depends on the size, but typically up to 5 projects at a time)
  • Basic Electrical/controls Knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Good commercial skills both internally and externally
  • Good commercial understanding of M&E contracting working as both principal and subcontractor.
  • Experience of working with subcontractors and managing accordingly to ensure maximum results.
 
Salary and Package Details

 
£50,000 - £70,000
