Static Electrical Maintenance Engineer – 40K – Newcastle

I am currently representing a leading HVAC specialist who is currently in search of a static electrical maintenance engineer to join one of their sites in Newcastle. The successful candidate will be providing planned maintenance and reactive services across the site.

With three offices based within the UK, the company has grown from strength to strength since launching in in 2002 and provides building performance assets, planned and reactive maintenance solutions and capital projects works throughout the UK.

They mainly work with a wide variety of retail, hotel and leisure and commercial multi tenanted office spaces. The ideal candidate will have come from building services/ commercial maintenance background.

They are currently in search of a static electrical maintenance engineer to join one of their sites based in Newcastle to provide M&E maintenance and servicing to a wide variety of components including but not limited to:

• Emergency light testing, fire alarm tests
• Generators Tests
• Pumps, motors, AHU's, L8, TMV valves.
• Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in line with Health & Safety standards and centre regulations.
• Working closely with the end client and helping specialist sub-contractors on site
• Taking on site responsibility with the day to day running of the site.
• Support weekly and monthly compliance checks (e.g., emergency lighting, fire exit condition, water flushing where needed).

This role is based on a 40-hour week, with the shift pattern being 8 – 4.30 (this can be flexible), this also includes no call out as the company has a mobile team to provide coverage for this.

The ideal candidate would have their level 2 NVQ or city and guilds in electrical installations or equivalent with their 18^th edition.
