Senior Rail Engineer

Salary: £42,000 - 52,000 – Depends On Experience
A multi-disciplined engineering consultancy are looking for a senior rail engineer with station design experience who can deliver small/medium projects to join them in their London office.
This company is a medium sized engineering consultancy with 20 people in their rail team in London. You will be joining a wide mix of graduate engineers, engineers, technicians, senior engineers and Principals up to an Associate Director.
This consultancies workload is exciting and diverse and ranges from scheme design of large multi-building schemes to small modifications to existing structures. They work with D & B contractors, large institutional organisations (including Network Rail, London Underground and Docklands Light Railway) and developers.
They are an engineering consultancy that punches above its weight in the rail sector, through offering intelligent design solutions and by executing projects effectively. They have a large and varied portfolio of rail related design work, from early stage bridge inspections and assessments to detailed design of large scale station alterations.
The senior rail engineer
You will have proven experience some of the following:
- Structures and buildings (ideally Rail)
- Retaining structures
- Foundations
- Over, under and footbridges
- Culverts and crossings
- Earth structures
Key Skills required: - BEng/MEng (Hons) degree expected from a top UK University or equivalent high quality technical training.
- Demonstrable success in the execution of design calculations.
- Knowledge of CDM regulations.
- Familiarity with Quality Management and Quality Management Systems.
- The ability to identify, develop and present civil engineering solutions
