Civil Cad Technician

Ipswich

Salary : £32k (Depends On Experience)

This multi-disciplined consultancy are on the lookout for a Civil Cad Technician to join their team in their offices in Ipswich.

The company is 200 strong across their two offices in Matlock and Ipswich. As the cad technician you will be joining the civil and structural team which comprise of 20 people in Ipswich.

Civil Cad Technician Role:


-          To plan, draw and design civil & structural design projects.


-          Work under the guidance of and take direction from senior structural and civil engineering colleagues.


-          Liaise with Architects and other professional staff as directed in developing designs.


-          Create engineering drawings and models using CAD packages.


-          Undertake civil engineering design under guidance of Senior Engineers.


-          Assist / Undertake engineering calculations by hand and using software.


-          Assist / Prepare building regulations and undertaker submissions.


-          Assist /Asses the environmental impact and risks connected 

BIM Roles and Responsibilities:


-          Maintain and receive information into the information model.


-          Configure information for project outputs.


-          Populate the information exchange format for the information model.


-          Production of design outputs related to a discipline specific, package based or time-based task.
