Fire Door Inspector – Crawley - £40,000
RGB Network are representing a well-established windows and doors company, who are seeking a skilled Fire Door Inspector to join the team. The Fire Door Inspector will be responsible for conducting surveys of buildings to assess the effectiveness and compliance of fire doors. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of fire safety regulations and standards, as well as experience in surveying buildings for fire safety compliance.
Salary Package:
- £35,000 - £40,000

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough inspections of fire doors in various buildings, including commercial, residential, and industrial facilities, to ensure compliance with local fire codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Assess the condition of fire doors, frames, hardware, and related components for functionality, integrity, and effectiveness in containing fire and smoke during emergencies.
- Document inspection findings, including deficiencies, discrepancies, and recommendations for corrective action, using standardized reporting formats and inspection checklists.
- Communicate inspection results and recommendations effectively to building owners, managers, and relevant stakeholders, providing guidance on necessary repairs, replacements, and maintenance procedures.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel, contractors, and vendors to schedule and oversee repairs, replacements, or upgrades of fire doors and associated components as needed to ensure compliance and safety.
- Stay abreast of changes in fire safety regulations, codes, and industry best practices to ensure accurate and up-to-date knowledge in fire door inspection techniques and standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection reports, repair documentation, and other relevant data in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Promote fire safety awareness and education among building occupants and staff by providing guidance on proper use, maintenance, and inspection of fire doors and related equipment.

Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of fire safety regulations and standards, including an understanding of the relevant Building Codes and British Standards.
- Demonstrated experience in surveying buildings for fire safety compliance.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A full, clean UK driving license.
