Fire Risk Assessment Manager – Harlow - £50,000

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Risk Assessment Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of fire risk assessment within our organization. This role requires a strong understanding of fire safety regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and practical experience in identifying and mitigating fire hazards. The Fire Risk Assessment Manager will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, implementing effective mitigation strategies, and fostering a culture of fire safety awareness within the organization.


Salary Package:

  • £45,000 - £50,000
  • Company Car or Car Allowance

Duties:
  • Conduct thorough fire risk assessments of properties, facilities, and workplaces to identify potential hazards and risks.
  • Evaluate sources of ignition, fuel, and oxygen, as well as the layout of buildings, equipment, materials, and processes, to assess fire risks.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate fire risks, including recommending fire detection and alarm systems, emergency lighting, fire suppression systems, and evacuation procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and industry-specific fire safety regulations, codes of practice, and standards.
  • Provide training and education to staff members on fire safety practices, procedures, and protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of fire risk assessments, mitigation measures, training activities, and incidents or near misses.
  • Regularly review and update fire risk assessments and mitigation strategies to adapt to changes in the environment, regulations, or operations.
  • Conduct periodic fire drills and simulations to test emergency response procedures and ensure readiness in the event of a fire.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of fire safety measures and recommend improvements as necessary.
 

Requirements:
  • Understanding of full life safety systems.
  • Driving License
  • NEBOSH in Fire Safety And Risk Management
  • FIA
