My client are a Building Services & Specialist Contractor who have been established in 2003 who have 8 Offices throughout the UK.
As a business, they employ 300+ Staff Nationally and are expected to Turnover £55Mil+ this year.
Working within the Commercial & Public Sectors, their sites are generally within London, Surrey, Kent & Sussex.
Due to growth of business, they are now seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to join their team and support the Mechanical Contracts Manager.
THE ROLE – Mechanical Supervisor
Monday – Friday
8am – 4pm
This is an evolving role with scope to progress through to Contracts Manager.
You will be the Mechanical Contracts Managers Number 2 and will work alongside them.
Working across their whole portfolio of contracts, which include the MOD, Southern Water & Regus, you will be:
• Managing Small Works projects
• Follow up on requests to price works, Survey jobs, Price up the jobs alongside the Estimator & Contracts Manager. That job is then yours to run with from start to finish.
• Procurement alongside the Contracts Manger.
• Be willing to get on the tools from time to time to help out the team (as the role grows, you will then come fully off the tools and be office based)
Project values: are anything from £1,000 - £200k. But normally fall around the £25k mark.
Project examples: Bathroom fit outs, calorifier change over, water heater change over, replacing toilets & sinks, installation of pipework Installation of Limescale neutraliser tank.
As the role develops, you will come fully off the tools and be office based completing tenders, whilst also ensuring the on site works are done to a high standard.
As the team grows, the projects will also grow and you will be able to get involved with larger scale projects.
SALARY & PACKAGE
Up to £50,000
